Crappie Masters Tournament
For the second consecutive year, The City of Millbrook will host the 2010 Alabama State Championship of the Bass Pro Shops Crappie Masters Tournament, Friday, March 19 and Saturday, March 20, with preliminary events scheduled Thursday, March 18th.
Crappie Masters is a tournament for all anglers, but for the less experienced angler, a new Grass Roots or amateur division has been added to the 2010 event. Amateurs will compete against one another in a one-day tournament on Saturday, March 20. Grass Roots participants will be subject to the same rules, fish the same waters, and use the same scales as the professionals. The Grass Roots division fee for a two-person team is $110.00, which includes membership in Crappie Masters and a 12-month subscription to their quarterly magazine. Entry forms for the professional and Grass Roots divisions are available at The Pines Golf Course in Millbrook, or interested parties may call 799-3218 or 799-1636.
