Street Department
The City of Millbrook Street Department consists of eight full-time staff persons and one seasonal worker. The department’s staff performs basic street maintenance that includes:
- Pothole repair and small paving projects
- Correcting drainage issues located on city right-of-way
- Addressing tree and shrub issues affecting streets and line of vision
- Street sign maintenance
- Mowing grass on city right-of-way
- Holiday decorations to include Christmas and U.S. flag placement for other holidays
- Operating a Recycling Center and Material Drop Off
Large street paving projects are handled by outside firms. The equipment owned by the Street Department includes three bush hogs, three tractors, one front end loader, one mosquito spraying truck plus other units that aid in our efforts to keep the community running smoothly and looking nice.
